Are your home’s historic, original floors stopping you from fixing your crawl space supports? We can help.
Often, we encounter homes with crawl spaces that need new structural supports beneath the floor. In the past we have provided smart jacks, and recently have announced a new product of smart piers that offer superior performance to a concrete footing (click here to read about our new product). Quite often however, the crawl space is too shallow for a foundation repair specialist to access underneath.
Usually, the only choice is to remove and replace the wood flooring to access the work area underneath. We have tried to find local contractors to do this restorative work; we have been continually disappointed. More times than not, the homeowner is left without any viable way forward and disappointed. Homeowners end up not being able to repair their structural supports in their crawl space without risking the historic beauty of their home’s original flooring.
Our mission is to make homeowners lives better. After thinking about this, we have hired our own carpenter and with our engineering team, have developed a program to remove the floors, upgrade the beams if needed and install smart piers to completely renew the floor and structural supports.
We will even tackle original flooring putting it back as originally built!
